Commodities Trading Overview
Trade globally recognised commodities like gold, oil, and industrial metals with TradingPRO, without owning the underlying asset. Whether markets rise or fall, you can speculate on price movements and take advantage of high volatility and market trends—all from one powerful platform.
Swaps
Swaps are the interest charged or earned for holding trading positions overnight. Normally, they are applied daily (excluding weekends), with a triple charge on Wednesdays to account for the weekend rollover. At TradingPRO, we offer swap-free trading for all clients—enjoy trading without overnight interest fees. However, conditions may vary based on market dynamics.
Digits
Digits refer to the number of decimal places shown in a commodity price quote. Different commodities may have different pricing formats for example, gold may be quoted with two or three decimal places (e.g., 2975.50), while crude oil may use two (e.g., 85.30). The number of digits affects pricing precision and can vary based on the commodity type and trading platform. More decimal places allow for tighter spreads and greater pricing accuracy.
Spreads
TradingPRO provides some of the tightest spreads available on popular commodities like gold (XAUUSD) and crude oil (USOIL & UKOIL). Spreads are floating and adjust according to market conditions, with displayed values representing previous trading day averages. For real-time spreads, check your trading platform. Note that spreads may widen temporarily during periods of low liquidity.
Stop Levels
Stop levels specify the minimum distance required between the current market price and your pending orders. These values can change without prior notice, and some strategies or Expert Advisors (EAs) may not adhere to standard stop-level parameters.
